The portion of the credit used against payroll taxes is allowed in the first calendar quarter beginning after the date that the qualified small business filed its income tax return. The payroll tax credit election must be made on or before the due date of the originally filed income tax return (including extensions). The Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 (the IRA) increases the election amount to $500,000 for tax years beginning after December 31, 2022. I just believe in using a vehicle for what it was intended. Why not a Pop or a Sport (which I did own one for about 3 months). Had I wanted high MPG, and mostly normal driving, I would have never ordered and bought an Abarth. It's a car, IMO, that needs to be driven hard to be enjoyed, and to wring out all the pleasure that was built into the car. Some factors - I always drive spirited (but not WOT driving), I only burn 93 Octane, and I drive 100% of the time in Sport Mode. Typical for me is in the upper 26 MPG range. Worse was 25, and best - the one and only time I tried to get good MPG, I barely got to the 30 MPG mark. Over the course of 12k miles on my mod Abarth, my all around MPG is about 27 tops. Not even driving it in non-Sport mode, and driving it like an old lady. Not calling anyone a liar or stretching the truth, but not convinced an Abarth could ever get 40 mpg.
